A Little Bit About Me...

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I was born just outside of Vancouver, land of yoga leggings and waterproof jackets. I grew up playing Ringette (kind of like ice hockey), drawing and painting, and trying to capture wild animals for pets.

I grew up wanting to be an archaeologist or an artist, but always had a keen interest in fashion and fashion history. Films were a huge influence on my fashion development. One of my favourite activities would be going to the local Blockbuster video store and renting a stack of old films and immersing myself in different eras, changing my outfit for every film, naturally! Modern films of the time like The Fifth Element also awakened me to the idea that fashion and costume could create another universe. However, it wasn’t until I started snowboarding and working in a snowboard/skateboard shop that I considered designing apparel as a career.

I graduated from the four-year fashion design and technology program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and started freelancing for an agency where I had the opportunity to work with a large range of International clients specialising in activewear, outdoor apparel and technical outerwear. I also began contributing to WGSN, the world-renowned trend forecasting service by creating trade show and event reports for the active category.

After eight years freelancing in Vancouver, I moved to London to experience living and working abroad.  I have now made the UK my home and enjoy exploring its cities, having a good Sunday roast, and learning how to spell ‘aluminium’ properly.

I’m interested in working with brands who are striving to create a more ethical and sustainable fashion industry.
